Chugge Khan

A Manganiyar maestro from the Jaisalmer-Barmer region of Rajasthan, Chugge Khan began performing at age four and toured internationally by thirteen. He founded Rajasthan Josh, a collective of Manganiyar musicians, in 2009. A master of Morchang, Khartal, and Bhappang, his repertoire spans Sufi qawwali, traditional Rajasthani folk, and the poetry of Kabir and Bulleh Shah. He led the live folk orchestra for Ideas Unlimited's Bhamasha. His music has been featured on Coke Studio and in the film Junun.
