Dr. Jitendra B. Shah
A leading Jain scholar and Director of the L.D. Institute of Indology in Ahmedabad (1998–2019), Dr. Jitendra B. Shah is well-versed in Sanskrit, Pali, and Prakrit. He has authored 12 books and over 150 research articles, added 10,000 manuscripts to the Institute's collection, and coordinated the Dalai Lama's meeting with Jain Acharyas on Non-violence and Religion in 2010. He distilled the 16,000-verse Upamitibhavaprapancha Katha by Siddharshi Gani into the theatrical concept for Ideas Unlimited's Bhav Prapanch. He has been honoured with the Jain Padmashree and Nagar-Ratna of Ahmedabad.
