Atul Dodiya

One of India's foremost contemporary artists, deeply touched by Mahatma Gandhi's teachings. He created the black-and-white backdrop paintings for Ideas Unlimited's Mohan No Masalo — images of a young Gandhi that served as the visual world for Pratik Gandhi's solo performance. His earlier collaboration with Ideas Unlimited on Jal Jal Mare Patang (2009) established the painter-theatre partnership that defines Shah's visual language. His work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale and is held in major collections worldwide.
