One of the best-known faces of the new Gujarati cinema. Malhar Thakar spent roughly nine years on the Gujarati stage before his film debut, and Ideas Unlimited's Vastupal Tejpal in 2009 falls squarely inside that theatre apprenticeship.

He broke through with the blockbuster Chhello Divas: A New Beginning in 2015, won a Transmedia Gujarati Screen and Stage award for best actor as Pranav Joshi in Thai Jashe! in 2016, and starred in Love Ni Bhavai in 2017, which ran in cinemas for a hundred days.
