The Mumbai-based writer of Siddha Hem, Ideas Unlimited's Gujarati play on Acharya Hemchandracharya. Chitralekha's report on the play's 2009 world premiere described how he built the script: he combed Khambhat — where Hemchandra was initiated and did much of his life's work — and the country around it, and sought out every scholar, however obscure, who could tell him something about the Acharya. The result was a two-hour play that put Hemchandra's grammar, poetics, yoga and Jain philosophy on a stage for the first time.
